So here’s a story:

Toward the end of the first season, I saw the Glee cast on Oprah. And you know, I was already all about the Kurt and the Mercedes and such, and hoping that soon the show would diversify, use its deep bench better.

And then Ryan Murphy sat on that stage, surrounded by that…

Wow, that was honest (what Ryan Murphy said the story was about). Rachel becomes a star (we’ll just assume) and everyone else gets weird ideas tossed at them to tie off their stories. Except Kurt—did Kurt get a future or is he just in limbo?

Rachel got what she wanted. Therefore everyone is happy because all is right for the world. Even if Finn’s heading off to probably lose a limb for terrible reasons, it’s a happy ending. And the whole club shows up at the train station to say good-bye even though she’s only going to look at a dorm for a few days.
