Let’s dream of a world in which Paul Lynde was the assistant, shall we?

The Decorator - Part 1
You’ve heard of Charlie’s Angels and Dynasty, but perhaps Aaron Spelling’s true masterpiece was 1965’s un-aired pilot for “The Decorator,” starring Bette Davis. The premise was that Bette moved in with a family while she decorated their house so she could reflect their personalities in the decorations. And apparently get the odor of cigarettes into all the upholstery. The woman smokes more cigarettes in this pilot than Don Draper smoked in all of Season 2. Apparently her assistant was originally supposed to be Paul Lynde.
It almost sounds like a reality show with Bette Davis moving in with a different family each week. They could call it: “What a Dump!”
